Have a great partnership with your pet
Are comfortable in a nursing home environment
Are available at least once a month for a weekday visit
Have homeowner’s or related insurance to cover your visits

To be a good animal volunteer, we recommend your pet is:

Obedient, socially friendly, and has a calm temperament
Tolerant of being touched, sometimes roughly, with no retaliation
Able to handle unusual events, sights, and sounds
Able to walk calmly on a tight leash without jumping on people (large pet)
Able to be carried around camly in a basket (small pet)
Current on all vaccinations with written proof from your veterinarian
